The Cocoon hosts several events throughout the year to raise awareness about our services and funding to support programs for survivors.

Our fundraising events offer guests an opportunity to learn more about the agency while financially supporting critical programs and services. Sponsorship opportunities are available and include partnership recognition, priority seating, and more. Net proceeds from our fundraising events are put directly back into supporting programs and services that reach more than 800 survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and their children, each year.

37th Annual Tribute to Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Free Community Event

During this event, the Drum Major for Peace Award will be presented. This award is given to those who benefit the BG community and exemplify the teachings and values of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.—courage, truth, justice, compassion, dignity, humility, and service. This year, The Cocoon will be honored with this award!

Please come to the event to help us celebrate! The public is invited to attend and light refreshments will be served.
