Statistics show that a woman is killed in the workplace by an intimate partner two times a month on average and that 96% of domestic violence survivors who are employed experience problems at work including being harassed at their workplace by an intimate partner. The Champions of Change Program is designed to ensure that Human Resource and Management teams are prepared with the knowledge, tools and resources needed to invest in the well-being of their employees, because investing in the well-being of a business’ employees is an investment in that business.
Champions of Change will have access to lunch and learn and/or on-going training opportunities around topics including Trauma Informed Care (effectively and empathetically supporting those experiencing abuse) and Bystander Intervention (techniques to stop abuse safely and effectively before it occurs.) All educational opportunities are conducted by trained Cocoon staff members and can be designed to fit each organization’s corporate social responsibility goals.
Benefits include special recognition on The Cocoon’s website, through a press release, and a certificate for display recognizing their Champion of Change status. To learn more about this new and exciting program please visit Champions of Change.
