The Wood County Clothesline Project
On October 1st, the Wood County Clothesline Project occurred on BGSU’s campus, displaying shirts created by survivors of domestic and sexual violence or, by loved ones of those lost to violence, and were hung in the Oval to help raise awareness that violence can affect anyone.
The Silent Witness Project
On October 7th, The Silent Witness Project was hosted by Bethany House at the Toledo Lucas County Public Library’s Main Branch. This display pays tribute to those in Northwest Ohio whose lives were lost due to domestic violence.
The "What Were You Wearing" Exhibit
Then on October 13th, the “What Were You Wearing” exhibit was hosted in the Union at BGSU. This exhibit displays examples of the variety of clothing styles people wore when they were assaulted in an effort to help break the stigma that what you wear is the cause of a sexual assault.
Purple Thursday
On Thursday, October 23rd, please join The Cocoon in wearing purple on Purple Thursday to show that you stand in solidarity with survivors.
